How to read these results

Revenue tells you how much was sold. These tell you whether it was worth it.

ROI
Return on investment: what you got back compared with what you spent.
ROAS
Return on ad spend: sales ÷ ad cost. 4.0 means £4 of sales per £1 of ads.
CPA
Cost per acquisition: ad spend ÷ sales won. Lower is better.
Average order value
What a customer spends, on average, in one order.
Incremental revenue
Sales that wouldn't have happened without the ads.
Relative improvement
A change measured against the starting figure: a 22% relative lift takes an ROI of 300% to 366%.

What these brands had in common

Not a trick or a hack — the same steps, applied to every product, every day.

  1. 1Track every costKnow the real margin on each product before bidding on it
  2. 2Bid for profitOne profit target turned into the right bid for each product
  3. 3Build for reach and controlEach product gets its own place and its own bid
  4. 4Keep it rightBids updated as costs, prices and products change
  5. 5Measure itEvery change and sale tracked, before and after

The order matters. A precise bid built on the wrong cost is still wrong.

What results really depend on

These are some of our best published results. They are not a promise — every account starts from a different place.

FactorWhy it matters
Your marginsThin-margin products can't bid hard. GROW won't make them profitable — it shows you early
Your cost dataThe more real costs you add, the more accurate every bid
Conversion trackingGoogle can only learn from sales it sees. Tracking accuracy allows for the gaps
Sales volumeTarget ROAS needs about 15 sales a month to learn well
TimeLearning takes 1–2 weeks. These results were measured over months and years
Your offerRange, price, stock and feed quality stay yours — and still decide who buys

What to expect when you start

  • Setup takes about 10 minutes — campaigns then build in the backgroundQuick start
  • Google's learning takes a week or two — results can move up and downBe patient

Key takeaways

  • Eleven published results, from new-market launches to doubled revenue
  • Look past revenue — CPA and ROI show whether growth paid
  • The same method behind them: costs, profit bids, structure, upkeep, measurement
  • Results depend on your margins, data, tracking and time — not luck
  • Start small and measure — one brand or category, judged on profit
