Ten features that make every Shopping sale pay
Each feature fixes one real problem in a Google Shopping account — from unknown margins to bids that drift out of date.
Together they run the whole method: cost it, bid it, build it, keep it right, measure it.
Five terms used in this guide
- ROAS
- Return on ad spend: sales ÷ ad cost. 4.0 (or 400%) means £4 of sales per £1 of ads.
- Break-even ROAS
- The lowest ROAS a product can take without losing money on the sale.
- Profit target
- The share of each sale you want to keep, after costs and ad spend. The default is 10%.
- CPC
- Cost per click: what you pay Google each time someone clicks your ad.
- Performance Max (PMAX)
- Google's automated campaign type across Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail and Discover.
1. Setup Assistant: live in minutes, not weeks
The problem: most platforms start with weeks of onboarding before a single ad runs.

What you get: about 10 minutes of setup. Progress saves as you go, so you can close it and come back.
